Digital photography is taking photographs and storing them digitally instead of using traditional film. There are several advantages to using digital photography compared to traditional film photography. Two of the biggest advantages to digital photography are the ability to see the photograph instantly (as opposed to waiting on film development) and the ability to edit photographs digitally with full resolution (without having to scan in photographs).
